Goodbye to the Ice Castles
Well, the Midway Ice Castles have come and gone. The weather finally got too warm to keep it up. I'll miss them. But I did get a few last shots in before they left!

DanceSport Finale
So, next month marks my sixth annual National DanceSport Competition -- and my last one.
It has been an honor and a treat to photograph these competitions, watching the dancers and cheering them on while capturing every fun moment I could. I will miss the lights, and the costumes, and of course all the 'bling'! The choice to retire from this event was not an easy one. But it is time to move my business in a different direction.

Waiting For Her Moment
Before the bride made her grand entrance into the church, she stood
waiting -- probably somewhat impatiently -- for the church to fill and
the groom to be placed.
But she still couldn't stop smiling. :-)

Senior Portrait at the Ice Castles
I've been enjoying working part-time at the Midway Ice Castles taking photos of guests. This lovely high school senior got the VIP treatment and we had some fun taking a few quick portraits.

Getting Ready
As a wedding photographer, I get to enjoy the experience with the bride from start to finish. In all honesty, I do enjoy documenting the moments before the event starts. The energy from the bride and her bridesmaids, and even the groom, is really something, and adds to my own excitement. It's a beautiful thing.
