I enjoy just about any aspect of capturing a bride and her big day -- including the prep beforehand.  The day before her wedding, this adorable bride took her bridesmaids to get their nails done.  Between texting her soon-to-be husband and chatting with her friends, she just could not stop smiling.  :-)

Ice Castles 2014

One of the best things about this winter is the return of the Midway Ice Castles.  I love these things!  They're so creative and clever, and this year's structures are beautiful.  I look forward to going back!

Winter Defiance

It is wretchedly cold.  Cold and I don't get along.  It is during this time of year that I consistently threaten to move to Bermuda, or some such place.

So, in defiance of the nasty weather, I decided to warm myself up by posting photos from last winter's trip to Hawai'i's beautiful island of Oahu.

The Snow Princess

This is still, to date, one of my all-time favorite bridal sessions -- just for sheer fun and novelty's sake.  This particular bride looked just like a snow princess and what better way to capture it than at the ice castles in Midway.
